Nashville, Tennessee
If you love music - especially Country Music, you're definitely going to love Nashville! The city has so much to offer and can actually be broken down into three pet friendly lodging areas.
East Nashville covers the International Airport and Opryland (right) area. This part of the city is known for Outlet Malls, The Grand Ole Opry, the World Famous Nashville Palace, and at Christmas time, the Rockettes, five million twinkling lights, and ICE!, a extravaganza of ice sculptures that take six weeks to carve by an international group of artists, and are both interactive, and amazingly detailed.
Midtown Nashville covers Vanderbilt University, The Parthenon, "Music Row", historic plantations, arts and crafts festivals in Centennial Park, exciting and unique food venues, and music that ranges from hip-hop, to jazz, to country, to rock, and everything in between!
Downtown Nashville is the area most want to see: Titans Football, as well as such sports as pro hockey (Predators) , arena football (Nashville Kats), and baseball (The Sounds). Rows and Rows of Honky Tonk music, Printer's Alley (with blues, jazz, and salsa), historic buildings, Riverfront Park where music festivals are held right on the river as well as the one of the largest and most televised Fourth of July fireworks programs takes place.
There is the world famous Wildhorse Saloon, B.B. Kings House of Blues and musicians playing on the street. Nashville is NOT just country music!
They are the world's largest producer of gospel music, as well. Stars are seen in Wal-Mart and impromptu sessions on stages on Broadway. This part of town is exciting and vibrant and where most musicians begin their careers! If you love music - especially Country Music, you're definitely going to love Nashville! Although the city is rather spread out, pet friendly lodging properties are concentrated in three main areas:
|

|
| East Nashville, which covers the Opryland (right) area; Midtown Nashville, near "Music Row"; and Downtown Nashville, which includes the state government and business district. Visitors will also want to take a trip to Memphis, or visit Elvis's former home called Graceland, or Dolly Parton's Dollywood. Of course Tennessee is more than music, there's the Smokey Mountain National Forest, great fishing in the states many rivers and streams, and pet friendly lodging at great Tennessee inns, hotels and resorts. |
